Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Albania – Arrival in Tirana

Your Albanian adventure begins as Worldwide Tourism Travel Agency warmly welcomes your group at Tirana International Airport. Our dedicated team will assist you with a smooth private transfer to a centrally located hotel, where you’ll check in, relax, and enjoy a refreshing welcome drink. After settling in, we invite you on a gentle introductory walking tour around Skanderbeg Square, the beating heart of Tirana. Here, you’ll admire the impressive Et’hem Bey Mosque with its elegant frescoes, stroll past Italianate government buildings, and take in the striking National History Museum, crowned by a dramatic mosaic mural called The Albanians. In the evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a festive welcome dinner at a renowned local restaurant, where you’ll sample classic Albanian dishes like tavë kosi (baked lamb with yogurt) and byrek (savory pastry). This is the perfect moment to relax, toast the journey ahead, and soak in your first taste of Albanian hospitality.

Day 2: A Deep Dive into Tirana’s History and Views

After breakfast, we set off on a guided exploration of Tirana’s fascinating past and dynamic present. Our first stop is Bunk’Art 2, a Cold War-era nuclear bunker that has been transformed into a thought-provoking museum about Albania’s Communist past and secret police network. Wander through its tunnels, filled with vivid exhibitions and personal stories that bring history to life. Emerging back into the sunshine, we continue to Pazari i Ri, the lively New Bazaar district, where colorful market stalls overflow with fresh fruits, olives, spices, and handmade crafts. There’s time here to sip a traditional Turkish coffee or browse local souvenirs. In the afternoon, we escape the city bustle by riding the Dajti Ekspres cable car up Mount Dajti, where breathtaking panoramic views of Tirana and the surrounding landscapes await. You can relax with coffee or dessert at the mountaintop restaurant or take a light walk in the fresh mountain air. Evening is yours to enjoy freely — Worldwide Tourism Travel Agency can recommend excellent restaurants or arrange an optional group dinner at one of Tirana’s rooftop terraces.

Day 3: Krujë – The Heart of Albanian Heroism

Today, we venture just 45 minutes north to the historic hilltop town of Krujë, birthplace of Albania’s beloved national hero, Skanderbeg. After a scenic drive through rolling hills, we arrive at Krujë Castle, perched dramatically over the surrounding valley. A guided tour reveals the Skanderbeg Museum, where exhibits and artifacts tell the story of Albania’s fierce 15th-century resistance against the Ottoman Empire. You’ll have time to wander the enchanting Old Bazaar, a maze of cobbled streets lined with artisan stalls selling handmade carpets, silver jewelry, copperware, and unique souvenirs. We’ll gather for a traditional lunch at a local restaurant offering panoramic mountain views, where you can savor authentic mountain dishes. In the afternoon, we return to Tirana with optional visits to modern museums like the House of Leaves, or simply relax and enjoy the evening at your own pace.

Day 4: Tirana’s Modern Spirit – Art, Street Life & Blloku District

After breakfast, the morning invites you to discover Tirana’s creative and modern face. We visit the National Art Gallery to view an intriguing mix of classical, modern, and Socialist-era artworks, or, for those curious about urban culture, we offer a street art walking tour to discover the city’s bold murals and colorful building facades. By midday, we head to the stylish Blloku district, once the exclusive residential zone of Communist leaders, now transformed into Tirana’s trendiest area filled with designer boutiques, craft shops, and vibrant cafés. Worldwide Tourism Travel Agency can arrange optional activities here, such as a boutique shopping experience or a coffee tasting tour to explore Albania’s strong café culture. The evening is yours to enjoy — perhaps sipping a cocktail at a rooftop bar overlooking the city lights or joining one of our optional group dinners at a contemporary Albanian fusion restaurant.

Day 5: Durres – A Seaside Day of Ancient Wonders

Today we journey westward to Durres, Albania’s second-largest city and one of the oldest settlements in the Balkans, located just 40 minutes from Tirana. Our visit starts at the magnificent Roman Amphitheater, an archaeological marvel tucked amidst modern city streets, once holding up to 15,000 spectators in ancient times. We continue to the Durres Archaeological Museum, which houses fascinating relics from the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine eras. After a cultural morning, it’s time to unwind — we’ll head to the Adriatic coastline for a relaxed seafood lunch at a charming beachside restaurant, savoring the day’s fresh catch. You’ll have the afternoon free to stroll along the palm-lined promenade, dip your toes in the sea, or simply relax with a cool drink by the water. By late afternoon, we return to Tirana, where the evening is open for you to rest or explore.

Day 6: Leisure, Local Flavors & Farewell Festivities

On your final full day, we invite you to personalize your experience. Choose between optional activities: a traditional Albanian cooking class, where you’ll learn to prepare classic dishes under the guidance of local chefs, or a guided food tasting tour, sampling regional cheeses, olive oils, wines, and sweets. For those seeking a relaxed morning, enjoy free time for shopping, photography, or people-watching in Tirana’s charming cafés. In the afternoon, join us for a leisurely visit to the Grand Park of Tirana (Lake Park), a beloved green space where locals gather to stroll, picnic, or sip coffee by the lake. As the sun sets, Worldwide Tourism Travel Agency hosts a farewell group dinner at a celebrated restaurant, complete with the option of live Albanian music or a folk dance performance — the perfect way to toast new friendships and memories made on this beautiful journey.

Day 7: Farewell and Departure

After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Albania. Our team will assist with check-out and provide private transfer to Tirana International Airport, helping your group with luggage and check-in procedures. As you board your flight, we at Worldwide Tourism Travel Agency thank you warmly for choosing to travel with us and hope you leave with unforgettable stories, photos, and the promise of future adventures together.
