Lying in the valley of the Terelj River 80 km northeast of Ulaanbaatar, Terelj national park has long been a holiday resort for people from the capital and short – stay tourists. It is one of the most visited areas in Mongolia due to its magnificient scenery and its proximity to Ulaanbaatar. There are great opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, simming, rafting, riding and bird watching. In winter frozen rivers provide skating and snow-covered valleys are ideal for crosscountry skiing. Terelj is picturesque place of high cliffs of granite, rivers and forests. It is located in Khan Khenti Park. Also known as Khustain Nuruu (Birch Mountain Range), this park was established in 1993 and is about 100km southwest of Ulaanbaatar. The 50,620-hectare reserve protects Mongolian wild horse, the takhi, and the reserve’s steppe and forest-steppe environment. In addition to the takhi, there are populations of maral (Asiatic red deer), steppe gazelle, deer, boar, manul (small wild cat), wolf and lynx. We are organizing horseback tour in the direction of Hagiin Har Nuur which is hidden deep in a forest in the Khan- Khentii mountains strictly protected area. Hagiin Har Nuur is one of the 8 beautiful places in Mongolia. Hagiin Har Nuur is located 180 km east of Ulaanbaatar in Erdene soum (administrative village), Tuv province. This lake located 1817.3 kiolometers above the sea level. It has 2.7kilometers long and 1.1kilometers wide, average depth is 11 meters and rich in fish. It’s impossible to reach the lake side by car. So we will transport by car 110kilometers then we will be introduced by our horse guide and horses. We will reach the lake shore by horse. One of the most beautiful places in Mongolia is the saxaul, moose, roe deer, ore, brown bears, wolves, lollipopes, dogs, mules, and many other wild animals. In addition, around 250 species of birds live in Khan Khentii Mountain Range.
